This is education, not advice
The information here is written for the general reader and does not replace a personal medical consultation. It cannot tell you whether what has changed in your face is volume loss or descent, or whether either material is appropriate for you.
Neither material is a default
Nothing on this site should be read as ranking one injectable above the other, or as describing the longer-lasting one as the better choice. They behave differently in tissue, one of them cannot be dissolved, and the choice follows from an examination rather than from a clinic’s routine.
No outcome is guaranteed
No treatment can be guaranteed. How much volume is restored, how long a result lasts and how a particular skin responds to a collagen-promoting material all vary between individuals. Hyaluronic acid filler is temporary and dissolving it is not always complete.
Emergencies and nodules
An injectable entering a blood vessel is a time-critical emergency. A change in vision, severe pain, or pale or dusky skin after a treatment requires immediate care rather than a routine follow-up. Nodules and firm areas after a collagen-promoting injectable can appear months later, cannot be dissolved, and need assessment rather than pressure or massage at home.
